Melodie Durham of Durham Designs and Consulting, LLC has been serving the greater Charlotte and Lake Norman region for over 20 years.  Specializing in turn key design projects, Melodie excels in working with the client from conception to completion. “Turning ordinary spaces into luxurious sanctuaries for ordinary people is my passion.”

Melodie has completed many large scale homes in communities such as Longview Country Club, Highgate and Sedgefield all located in Union County, NC. Additional projects include the Stephen Fuller neighborhood of Heydon Hall and Crescent Communities such as Springfield in Fort Mill, SC, Ballantyne Country Club in South Charlotte as well as The Peninsula and The Point at Lake Norman.

This award winning designer excels in diversity. “Working with clients from all over the world has allowed me the opportunity to study and appreciate many styles of architecture. “ My philosophy is to enhance the architectural style of a home with an interior design plan that flows with the exterior structure.”  Projects include Scottsdale, AZ, Bucks County, PA, LaJolla, Ca, The Virgin Islands, a Vermont ski lodge, and multiple residences along the eastern seaboard from Boston to Miami. In addition she has worked with several clients abroad.

The Charlotte area has also seen a tremendous amount of growth with infill projects and rebuilding in older neighborhoods.  Melodie is very comfortable in maintaining the essence of these long established residential areas and works closely with all involved. From the architect and builder to the homeowner, she is devoted to ensuring that these new homes blend effortlessly.  Some of these projects include Dilworth, Myers Park, Carmel Country Club and Historical Salisbury.
