Tiny living can still be luxurious.

Nestled near the Blue Ridge Parkway, a tiny 12 X 10 rustic pine cabin sits along the banks of a pond. With cows grazing in the adjacent pasture and goats scampering along, a donkey braying in the distance one can escape the hustle bustle of city life into a picturesque bucolic scene.

A luxurious pool should have an equally exquisite bath.

The vanity is custom-designed by Palmer, complete with chrome and acrylic legs, which compliment the Carrara marble countertops and black and white marble floor tiles. A custom mirror reflects and enhances the resplendent Strauss crystals, shimmering and casting shadows. Lest you forget this is a pool bath, colorful beach towels echo the cool blue of the pool, as well as the color pallet of the cabana and poolside lounge chairs.

Every little girl needs a space to grow and flourish into a young lady.

This adorable en suite girl's bedroom and bath is designed for a little girl to grow and flourish into a young lady. Fine furniture, such as the Hickory Chair poster bed and night stands are classic pieces that are timeless and can be adorned with other linens down the road. Simple, velvet ruched coverlet from Pottery Barn Kids, along with fun, playful pillows adorn the bed currently along with another coverlet from Pine Cone Hill. The windows are dressed with a cream eyelet silk fabric from Robert Allen and the lavender silk Roman shades are by A Shade Above in Charlotte, using the specialty line by Hunter Douglas. The chandelier was customized with pale pink crystals and a silk shantung shade.

The bathroom's custom vanity is actually a soft white. The pale pink walls reflect giving the illusion of a hint of a pink cast. Fine lacy filigree silver and crystal sconces are by Schonbek. The vanity top is fabricated in a Botticino Marble. The vanity faucet with large crystal knobs play up the feminine feel to this bathroom but also allow for a bit of playfulness. The tub surround and shower listello (not shown) is from Renaissance tile's handmade tile collection and the beaded trim pieces are from Walker Zanger's hand glazed and handmade collection. The water closet boasts a very pale pink soft swirl wallpaper from Thibault with a pleated cream Taffeta silk accented by tiny crystal beads along the hemline.

Executed in authentic Adirondack style, this rustic mountaintop home serves as a retreat from city living.

This rustic mountaintop home overlooking the smokey mountains is a true example of the old camps found in upstate New York. The red windows, stained cedar entrance and the subtle green siding blend effortlessly with the mountain top vista at 4000 feet. For this project, time was taken to plan every detail of the home in the true spirit of the great camps built in the late 1800's. The gated community boasts the multiple compounds that were prevalent in upstate New York and provides fishing, boating, hiking, and a lodge for large events. The home is built for entertaining and was designed to sleep 12 comfortably. Perhaps not as grand as the camps that were eventually owned by the Vanderbuilts' and Rockefellers', the home none the less is luxuriously appointed while still providing the homeyness of a rustic retreat. Antiques, custom made furniture from New York artisans, as well as fine crafted new furnishings compliment the style.
